As the saying goes “when coming back from the Yellow Mountains one does not want to see a mountain; when coming back from Jiuzhaigou one does not want to see water.” Known as ‘king of Chinese water scenes’, The essence of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area lies in its waters: lakes, spring waters, streams, waterfalls, rivers and shoals. It is a great masterpiece of nature having dreamlike scenery and abundant natural resources.

The name “Jiuzhaigou”
Its name is due to the existence of nine stockaded villages of Tibetan origin, and it is always regarded as a holy mountain and watercourse by the Tibetan people. Ancient Chinese legend has it that the goddess accidentally broke her mirror here and the pieces which fell down the mountain formed beautiful lakes, streams and waterfalls. The scenery here is extremely beautiful. The scenic spot actually consists of three major gullies, which formerly was the site of nine stockaded villages of Tibetans.

The scenery in Jiuzhaigou is simply charming in all seasons. The spring witnesses green buds coming out of branches and waterfalls flowing briskly; in summer, the lakes are surrounded by green shades where birds sing and dance in between; leaves turn colorful in autumn while everywhere becomes a color palette; in winter, while the mountains and valleys are wrapped in snow, the waterfalls are much of some running jades. In a secluded pure land deep on the plateau, where the tranquility reveals our heartbeats and the breathtaking sceneries of the four seasons linger, you can hardly confess your feelings in any earthly words. Jiuzhaigou is a divine place of water. Water is the soul of the place, embodied by the mountain lakes and waterfalls. The water in Jiuzhaigou is crystal clear, yet presenting multicolored and twinkling brightness with refractions of the depositions formed under the lakes by dissolved limestone and multiple minerals. Coupled along the lakeshore with the inverted reflection of the tree colors, which will change with seasons, the scenery of lake and mountain builds Jiuzhaigou into a magic dreamy wonderland. What a holy pure “fairyland”!

Bali, the mystical and beautiful Island which attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. It is also a great place to spend honeymoon. The time to travel:
A honeymoon to Bali will heat you up in more ways than one. The beaches of Rhodes are among the most beautiful of the Aegean Sea. Some with white pebbles, others with sand, these beaches have lead in the North of the island to the building of sunny seaside resorts, along the Triante Bay on the West coast or the Bays of Rhodes and Kallithéas, on the East coast. The most famous and beautiful of all the beaches is unquestionably Tsampika, on the East coast, a few miles from Kolymbia. Overlooked by the monastery, nested more than 300 metres above the sea, it has an admirable turquoise transparent lagoon, worthy of the most beautiful Caribbean beaches.

The Greek countryside is also ideal for new types of tourism, ecology tourism (ecotourism) , geotourism and active tourism that addresses to nature lovers and includes practicing various types of activities, such as visiting mineral areas, protected areas but also canoeing, river trekking and rafting in the deep rivers, mountain biking, rock climbing, jeep tours, horse riding or just some walking and bird watching in the steep mountains and the Greek National Parks. However, we should always make sure that our activities do not disturb but protect the environment.

Traveling around the world  is my dream, as well as most of the people. Before global traveling, you must be sure that you have enough money and time. Then, you need prepare for your tirp as follows:

Book the tickets and hotel:
Airline ticket prices vary more or less as tickets are sold, thus it is highly unlikely that you will ever pay the same price for an airline ticket as the same person next to you (unless you booked your tickets at the same time). Indeed, you may even be paying twice as much for the same seat depending upon when you purchase your ticket.

Each airline works on a yield management system which is used to calculate an airfare based on the season, local events, competition, time of the year and so on. The demand for a particular flight route at one of these times is then calculated into a percentage of airfares available. Using figures from previous similar circumstances, i.e. the same time last year, the airfare is calculated based upon the natural demand that should arise.

In short the earlier you book the better the price you are likely to get, though sometimes it is possible to get cheaper flights after the earliest possible time to book, simply because the metrics used to calculate the original price have changed, for example if England did not make the World Cup Finals – so now there will be a lower demand for England fans booking tickets to fly to the World Cup Finals.

Budget
This tend to be the first question asked by all backpackers, as budget defines not only the destinations you visit but also how long you will be able to travel for.

The most important thing to ensure is that you have sufficient leverage in your budget to accommodate unexpected expenses and any expenses that you may incur while you are away such as storage, mortgage payments or rent and utility bills.

Find Out if You Need Visas. Call the embassy of the countries you are going to visit to see if you need a visa to enter or go to www.passportsandvisas.com. Visas expire, so you may need to get one at an embassy while you are on the road. Stay informed; it is not uncommon for a country to suddenly decide that U.S. citizens need a visa to enter when they didn’t need one a month ago. You may need a multiple-entry visa, especially in Africa, if you take a train from one country to visit another country but have to return to the first country to fly out. You will also need a visa for every country the train passes through even if you don’t get off the train.

Certainly , there are so many probelm you need to learn, you can surf the internet to ask  people who experience for advice. It is very  important and useful to make a detailed traveling plan.

Sayram Lake (Sailimu Hu), north of Yining, is a beautiful, large lake area. It is a perfect place to go hiking or riding. The land around Sayram Lake stretches green and vast, overflowing with vigor.

Located in the Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture between the Junggar Desert and the city of Ili, Sayram Lake is the largest and highest alpine lake in Xinjiang. On a high plateau ringed by formidable snow peaks is the Sayram Lake grassland, where graze the herds of differing Mongol and Kazak clans. Surrounded by verdant pastures and snow capped lofty peaks above the timberline, stepped on densely wooded forests, the lake area will definitely consume you rolls of films. The large lake area is also a great place for hiking or riding. There is also a ruin at the other side of the lake and it is a place where the Mongolian Emperor Chenkisikan called his army there.

There is a touching love story about Sayram Lake. It is said that the lake was composed of the tears of a couple of Kazak young lovers. A beautiful girl and a young man were deeply in love. One day, a cruel devil was captivated by the girl’s beauty. He captured the girl and confined her to his residence. The girl took a chance to escape, but the devil found out very soon and went after the girl. She was forced to jump into an abyss. Later, her boyfriend heard of this and he was so sad that he jumped into the abyss to be reunited with his lover. Their painful tears flooded into the abyss and formed Sayram Lake.

The scenery is quite varied in four seasons. In winter, the cold wind stirs a boundless wave which splashes the bank, and the mist can even hide the snow-capped mountains. In spring, the mountain slope is covered with a green blanket dotted with colored blooming flowers. Summer and autumn are the best seasons to travel to Sayram Lake. The water in the lake is very peaceful, and the lake surface is as smooth as a mirror. From late July to early August, the Mongolian people celebrate the ‘Nadam Fair’. Kazaks also join in the festival, during which horse-racing, wrestling and folk songs and dance are performed.

Longji Terraced Rice Fields (Dragon’s Backbone Terraced Rice Fields) are praised as the marvel of the agricultural art in China! These ancient farming legacies drench in the strong local colors, and have a history of 700 years. They boast their artistry, availability, and the fantastic surroundings. I think everyone who look at Longsheng Terrace Fields will be surprised by the great beautiful and spectacular scenery. Its agriculture value has nearly replaced by its visual value.

Located in Heping, southeast Longsheng County (78 km away from Guilin), all the terrace rice fields scatter on the mountains.The fields are mainly cultivated by Zhuang people in Pingan and the Red Yao people.Giving a bird’s eye view, the fields look like great chains or ribbons as they are built along the slopes winding from the feet (usually from the banks of brooks) to the tops of the hills.The sceneries of the terraced fields are changing all the year round. In spring, the water glittering in the sun, the hillsides are divided into tier upon tier; in summer, green rice seedlings grow in layers; in fall, the layered rice turn golden; in winter, layers of silvery frost or snow cover the fields. All these show a great momentum and imposing beauty.

Remember that come to this spot before July as there is water in the fields and you can have your photo taken with water reflection, otherwise, other tiem only give you an empty terrace fields and you will find no water reflection in the fields and your photo looks as as good as those taken with water reflection.

Besides the Guilin, Yangshuo, I very recommend you visit the Longsheng Together during your tour.

Huashan Mountain and spectacular sunrise become a unique and characteristic landscape. The place for watching the sunrise on Huashan Mountain is located on the eastern peak of Huashan Mountain, where is the best location for watching sunrise.

Situated in Huayin City, 120 kilometers (about 75 miles) east from Xi’an City of Shaanxi Province, Mt. Huashan is known as ‘The Number One Precipitous Mountain under Heaven’. It is one of the five sacred mountains in China. The other four mountains are Mt. Taishan in Shandong, Mt. Hengshan in Hunan, Mt. Hengshan in Shanxi, and Mt. Songshan in Henan.

The best place of Mt. Huashan for watching sunrise is East Peak. It takes about 4 to 6 hours to climb up the mountain.Tour guides may promote climbing the mountain at night to see the sunrise.The reference time for sunrise and sunset is 5:00a.m.-6:00a.m. in spring, 4:30a.m.-5:20a.m. in summer, 5:00a.m.-5:20a.m. in autumn, 5:30a.m.-6:00a.m. in winter.

I enjoyed the night view over the villages, valleys, and few lights that I could see below. I don’t know any other word but “majestic” (again) to use to describe it.Grey light began appearing aroudn 4:15am, but it was nothing special. Somewhere between 4:30am and 5:30am I fell asleep, not sure where, ha, but when I woke up there was one other person near my location so I decided to get up and move around to stay warm. I waited as the sun slowly began to play with the colors of the sky, making them scenic enough for a picture. I met a British couple and a guy Iowa State while on the peak.

Xi’an  is not only famous for its ancient culture and scenic spots, it is also well-known for its prosperous food and beverage industry. The wheated food is the typical xi’an’s food. There are so many kind of food made of wheat that tasted very delicious. If  you are fond of wheated food, you must come to Xi’an to try.

Liang Pi is made from wheat flour (or other starch). It looks translucent and tastes cold, and known for its white color, thin shape, smooth surface, pliable texture, tender and savory taste.

It is eaten along with garlic, ginger, pepper, sauce, vinegar, bean sprouts, capsicum flour, salt, sliced cucumber, caraway, chicken essence, sesame oil etc. All of the girl in Xi’an like to eat laingpi, but the men seems not very interested in it.
Roujiamo (Chinese-style Hamburger)
You may not know Xi’an has it’s own hamburger that are very different form hambuiger of KFC or Mcdonald’s. It is called Roujiamo.Roujiamo is made of mincemeat wrapped by griddle steamed bread.

 Meat used in Roujiamo is a kind of cured meat stewed with assorted sauces in a kettle. This makes the meat soft, eay to chew and taste with a lasting flavor. HIgh culinary skill is required to produce this kind of meat.

The last one I want to introduce to you is Beef and Mutton Sups with Shredded Cake.

There is a piece of hearsay like this: the first emperor of Song Dynasty was in trouble when he was in Chang’an before his enthronement as the emperor of Song Dynasty. He led a belly-pinched life in Chang’an all the time. One day, he came to the front of a shop. The shopkeeper found he was so poor that he cooked a bowl of beef and mutton soup for him. He devoured the food ravenously and felt it was the best delicious one in the world. After he became the first emperor of Song Dynasty, and one day he went by Chang’an but could not forget the food he ate in hard time. He found out that shop with many officials and ate Beef and Mutton Sups with Shredded Cake once again. He still felt it was much too tasty, so he awarded this kind-hearted shopkeeper too much.

Besides these delicious food, there are too many others. You can come to Xi’an and taste yourself.
